Review A Book

To review a book on ReMo, follow these steps.

1. Login to go.remo.app.

2. Go to the Reflect tab and you will see the “Books I’ve read and need to write a review” header. Click on the cover of the book that you want to review.

3. You will see all of the data that has been collected about the book you read, like your updates, tracking, responses, and rating. This gives you a chance to pause and reflect on the book before you write a review.

When you write a book review, you are making a recommendation to other readers about your experience with a certain book. It is important to give an honest, personal review about what you thought and how you felt about the book.

You can choose (or get assigned by your teacher) any one of these review questions:

• What would you tell your closest friend about this book?
• What feelings did you have when you read this book?
• What was your big takeaway from this book?
• What moves or special things about this book make it unique and different from all the other books written?
• What are three things that a reader would have to like and/or know to love this book?
• What is one thing that you would change about this book?

When you spend time and energy with a book, you have a relationship with that book, just like you do with people. So, ReMo wants to know if this book was a person, what type of relationship would you have?

Would the book be like…

• the most important person in your life
• a friend
• a peer or acquaintance
• someone you did not even know existed
• an enemy

4. Don’t forget to save your review!

Do you want to add something to your review or change what you wrote? You can edit your review by going to the “Reflect” tab under Books I have reviewed. Click on the cover of the book and select the “Edit your review” button. Make sure you “Save your review” to keep your changes.
